Games

You can earn Pitchforks by playing games, checking in to ASU Events and sharing the events, reading and sharing ASU News articles, and scouring our social media sites for Secret words.

Secret words are CamelCasing words found in our games, emails and social channels. Additionally, members of the ASU community can request Secret words for event incentives, social media engagement, classroom rewards and in-email campaigns.

There is a limit of 5 secret words per day. If you find more than 5 in one day, we recommend making a note of them and entering them the following day.

Rewards

There are different types of rewards in the catalog. When you redeem a reward, you’ll receive an email confirmation letting you know what to expect next.

Since we are a non-profit, we must follow certain legal regulations. We can currently offer sweepstakes only to Arizona residents, but we hope to expand to other states in the future. We thank you for your understanding.

No, this program is at no cost to the users. You must have an updated address on file for our team to process your redemption. You can update your profile by

  • Select “Rewards” under the bottom navigation bar.
  • Select “Account”
  • Select “Profile”

As a non-profit, we work collaboratively with partners across the ASU Enterprise to promote certain rewards. If an item can be purchased from a licensed partner, we will include an “available for purchase” button that links directly to the item. This way, if users are short on Pitchforks but would like to obtain the item, they can use their own funds to purchase the item directly from the vendor.

Please allow up to 3 - 4 weeks for delivery upon redemption. Redemptions are all manually processed by our team. This is not an automatic process and takes time to review and confirm details. We partner with ASU Mail Services, which packages and ships all rewards.

Once ASU Mail Services ships out your reward, you will receive an email that says your package is on its way. The email will also include a tracking link that you will be able to use to track your package.

ASU Events Check ins

Tap “Events” in the bottom navigation bar within the ASU Mobile App. Find the event for which you want to check in, open the event and tap the button labeled “Check in.” Once you’ve done this, the button color will turn green. Make sure to also share the event for extra ‘Forks!

Sun Devil Rewards does not manage ASU Events. Each department at ASU is responsible for adding events and inputting them correctly into the system. We encourage all ASU units to add both on-campus and off-campus events to ASU Events so that Sun Devil Rewards users can earn Pitchforks for attending.

Due to connectivity issues, you may receive an error message when attempting to check in. If you experience this, please email [email protected], and a customer care representative will assist you.

Your mobile device’s location is determined by several factors. GPS satellites, Wi-Fi networks and nearby cell towers can all come into play with varying degrees of impact and accuracy.

Environmental factors such as buildings or natural features can also affect accuracy.

Here are a few steps you can take that may help improve your location accuracy:

  • If possible, step outside.
  • Turn on Wi-Fi, if available.
  • Try turning location services off, then back on.
  • Restart your phone.

Android users can switch to high accuracy mode (this may use more battery life) by taking the following steps:

  • Navigate to “Settings.”
  • Tap “Location” and ensure your “Location Services” is set to “On.”
  • The first category under “Location” should display as “Mode.” Tap that and double-check that it’s set to “High” accuracy.

Although this approach uses slightly more battery, it utilizes all available methods to pinpoint the most accurate location possible.
