Help with Sun Devil Rewards on the ASU Mobile App

ASU Mobile App announcement

ASU Enterprise Technology released a redesigned ASU Mobile App experience for iOS and Android users on March 10.

The updated ASU Mobile App included:

  • Faster performance and improved reliability
  • A streamlined experience focused on:
    • Mobile ID and digital credentials (with no impact to existing Apple Wallet users)
    • Sun Devil Rewards — games, challenges and Pitchforks

We’re aware some users experienced issues after the update. Several bugs impacted Sun Devil Rewards features on both iOS and Android. Our team received reports through email and social and immediately reported the issues to the ASU Mobile App team.

The good news

The majority of bugs have now been resolved across both iOS and Android. We recommend doing the following:

  • Delete the current ASU Mobile App from your device.
    • Before deleting the app, we recommend checking your profile to confirm which email you used to sign up for Sun Devil Rewards.
    • Go to the Play Store.
    • Download and install the new ASU Mobile App.

  • There is a bug affecting iOS users who created a Sun Devil Rewards account using their ASURITE. The bug automatically bypasses the main sign-in page and sends you to the guest sign-in page, which is not the right place to sign in.
  • To rectify this:
    • Click the X at the top right to close the guest sign-in page.
    • You’ll see a page with the “settings” icon, which is the gear icon at top right. Click that.
    • Hit “log out.”
    • It will bring up a new sign-in page with the ASU logo.
    • Sign back in to that page with your ASURITE log-in.

  • If you are a Sun Devil Rewards user who created your account using a personal email through the guest portal, this bug should not affect you.

A few items are still being addressed

We thank you for your patience while the ASU Mobile App team works through the remaining fixes. We’re closely monitoring reports about Pitchforks. Once the ASU Mobile App team fixes the remaining issues, we will make sure accounts are credited appropriately for any lost ’Forks.

We appreciate everyone who reported issues and helped us inform the ASU Mobile App team. We’ll continue to share updates as fixes are completed.

Forks up, Sun Devils!
